Newsflash: everyone has bad habits.

Whether you want to admit it or not, we all do things that are counterproductive, lackadaisical, and a complete waste of time. The funny thing about bad habits, is that even though we know what they are, we still let them happen.

Normally, I approach these types of questions giving advice. I would talk about ways to break bad habits and be more productive. I would offer tips on what you can do day-in and day-out you to build good habits, set and achieve your goals.

But this question warrants a different answer.

Here are the 7 worst habits I have right now:

1. “I’ll do it later”

“I’ll do it later” is different than procrastinating.

I work remotely, and one of the worst habits I have is telling myself, “I’ll do it later.” It doesn’t mean I’m pushing off work — it comes down to a problem with prioritizing things.

For example, I just started my job at Digital Press where everything is done remotely. We hold our ‘face-to-face’ meetings on Skype and set schedules using Google Calendar. Here’s a scenario I ran into, just this past week:

“Hey Jack, can you throw a Skype meeting on the calendar for Monday at 4?”
