Our Ultimate Purpose in Life (It’s Not Exactly What You Think)
Our contribution to the giant cookie of Life can be scaled down to a tiny crumb.
Actually, it wouldn’t even be that big. It can be scaled down to the crumb of a crumb. But regardless of how small our individual crumb is, without them, there ain’t no cookie.
That, ladies and gentlemen, is my horrific attempt at a super creative metaphor (I’m only halfway through my mug of coffee — bear with me). But, however shitty that metaphor may be, it gets my point across:
Regardless if you come to realize a purpose that has been predetermined for you, or think up any purpose you wish, everyone — everything — in life, has purpose.
Is anyone familiar with Kenneth Burke’s ‘Unending Conversation’? It poses a wonderful question about the choice we have in regards to our contribution to Life.
